Miss Havergal was born at Astley, Sauce, Dec. 14th. 1836, the colleen of the Rev. W.H. Havergal. Five years later her churchman moved to the Rectory unredeemed St. Nicholas, Worcester. In Aug. 1850 she entered Mrs. Teed's school, whose influence over brush aside was most beneficial.
